The Competition

Business Icon® is based on a number of reality TV concepts all rolled into one including The Apprentice, Australian Idol, Amazing Race, Survivor and Dragons Den but with the education and positive learning philosophy behind Masterchef. This is a program where contestants are ‘chosen to go through’ and not one where they are eliminated.

Selection Process

Round 1: The Entry Form

Complete the online entry form and creatively answer 3 questions. From this, 60 will be selected for interview.

Round 2: The Interview

If you are selected for this round you will attend a group interview that will take about one hour of your time.40 contestants go through to the competition.

Round 3: The Competition

40 contestants will compete in Task 1

24 contestants will go through to Task 2

12 will be selected through to Task 3

4 contestants go through to the final.

The Final

4 Finalists will battle it out for Business Icon 2010 at a gala corporate luncheon in front of 300+ potential employers, sponsors and guests.

Entry conditions

You must be aged 18—25 years old.

All contestants will need to put aside the entire competition dates from Wednesday 14th of July through to Tuesday 20th of July 2010. You must be available 24/7 in order to complete the challenges.

All contestants must attend the sponsor networking event during the competition.

All 40 contestants will be featured in a profile booklet that will go to 500 of Victoria’s top companies.

The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
